Initially contracted to re-design and re-write the company’s project management methodology, a decision was made to implement this newly-minted methodology within SharePoint.

Metrics/KPIs


Each project template had it’s own dashboard, driven by an InfoPath Status Report XML form, but each project site’s Status Report rolled up to it’s respective Functional Steering Committee dashboard

Integrated Excel spreadsheets to track and report on Labor estimates and Project Costs.

Designed and built several InfoPath forms for Project Request, Study Report, Change Request, Final Report and also Status Reporting


Project Site Templates


Tools were developed to properly size projects prior to implementation, then a properly-sized SharePoint Project Site Template was delivered complete with all appropriate forms, dashboards, etc.

In order to achieve a process-driven workflow, Designed several XML forms to enhance and maintain all projects.  InfoPath-designed project Status Report linked into the main PMO and Functional Steering committee’s Dashboard Custom Webparts

Custom WebParts, JavaScript, JQuery tie it all together!

Designed and Built several custom webparts, project site templates and custom document libraries to bring all project methodology documents and reports together.  Built custom JavaScript /JQuery Content webpart views to provide visibility to project metrics at all levels.


One Site Collection to Rule Them All!


By consolidating and building all project sites, Functional Steering Committee sites, Dashboarding, SPD Workflows and XML-compliant forms under one site collection, we were able to “push” updates to all levels of collection, whether you worked within the ePMO, Supply Chain, Finance, IT or HR.
